Crenshaw Issues Ominous Warning for Pelosi After AOC's Latest Attack
Rep. Dan Crenshaw is a bona fide legend. There’s no other way to put it.
On Thursday, the Texas representative flipped the Democratic Party’s name-calling on its head, informing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that charges of racism (like those leveled against her by New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) are just everyday life for conservatives.
“Madam Speaker, welcome to the true nature of identity politics – where you’re accused of being racist for no reason at all, and where intellectually lazy insults are used against you as a way to replace substantive debate of your argument or idea,” Crenshaw tweeted.

Crenshaw was responding to Ocasio-Cortez’s recent comments accusing the career California politician of “singling out” women of color, according to The Hill.
Ocasio-Cortez said that when Pelosi began siding with Democratic moderates over far-left progressives, she figured the speaker was merely protecting congressional members closer to the center.
“But the persistent singling out … it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful … the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color,” she added.
When leftists run out of substantive arguments to make, they resort to their typical ad hominem attack strategy, charging their opponents with sexism, racism, homophobia, Islamophobia, and xenophobia.
Crenshaw must have had a good laugh writing his tweet, knowing that Pelosi herself has only added to the identity politics nonsense.
During the Obama administration, Democratic leaders hurled countless “intellectually lazy insults” against conservatives, particularly the Tea Party movement. According to The Weekly Standard, some aides even circulated documents saying the conservative rallies were attended by neo-Nazis, secessionists, and racists.
Identity politics is corrosive — and it’s a fault inherent to progressivism.
When progressives plant their flag on a given issue, it’s going to be pushed even further left by the next generation.
Case in point: Democratic politicians told Americans throughout the early 2000s that border security must be increased and deportations enforced. Years after making comments along those lines, people like former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama and California Sen. Diane Feinstein have had to walk back their remarks due to the new political climate.
The Democratic push left continues before our very eyes as party moderates face a new breed of progressive candidates in the 2020 presidential primary.
Conservatives don’t face the same problem.
