It is not every day one finds robbers that are bold enough to try and rob a gun store; but that is allegedly what happened in the early morning hours on Tuesday in North Houston.
According to KHOU, three burglars attempted to break into a store, Class 3 Weapons, but were met with stiff resistance by owner John Kleiber. Perhaps unbeknownst to the burglars, Kleiber is one of the select few gun dealers who has the federal government’s permission to sell sawed-off shot guns, machine guns, and other Class 3 weapons.
Police say Kleiber, with a shotgun in hand, opened fire as soon as he realized that intruders were present. One of the suspects died of a gunshot wound to the head, while the other two were able to escape. KTRK covered the story.
