6 Nurses Working in Same Unit Go Viral After Finding Out They're All Expecting Babies

Share

Katie Carlton, Emily Johnson, Nikki Huth, Sabrina Hudson, Nina Day and Bethany Stringer have a lot in common.

They are all friends. They are all nurse practitioners. And they are all pregnant.

It’s always exciting for two friends to be expecting around the same time, but six friends is a very special and rare event.

“Honestly, it is a pretty cool experience,” Carlton told TODAY. “After the fifth pregnancy, I was kind of expecting someone else to get pregnant.”

Carlton and Hudson are both pregnant with their second child. They have been able to share their experiences through pregnancy and becoming a parent to the other nurses who are becoming first-time moms.

“I feel comforted,” Johnson said. “I constantly have things running through my mind, ‘Is this normal?’ and ‘What is going on?’ Being about to communicate with other nurses help me feel better.”

Have a small community of friends that are going through similar experiences are always helpful, and these ladies prove it.

“It is a fun experience to go through with friends,” Huth told TODAY. “It is awesome to have a tight knit community of people to lean on.”

The due dates range from July 31 to December 12, with some in a close range. But not to worry! The nurses reassured that their patients will have enough staff members to take care of them.

“There are provisions in place to make sure our patients are cared for,” Hudson explained. “All six of us won’t be on maternity leave at once.”

Their patients call them the “Fabulous Six-Pack”, and they love to talk to talk about the nurses.

“Of course, they say, ‘Is there something in the water?’” Carlton said. “It really intrigues people and gives them something to focus on when they are there.”

The six friends are ecstatic to be sharing the miracle of life together.

“People being pregnant together may not be a rarity,” Hudson said. “We are just really excited about our babies and being able to share play dates. I don’t think that after the pregnancies are over we will stop sharing milestones together.”

Congratulations to all of the expecting mothers!
