Ann Coulter Calls for Attempted Murder Charges as Video Shows 6 Dogs Left To Drown in NC

Share

How horrifying was what one dog owner did to his pets during Hurricane Florence? It has Ann Coulter calling for the person to be charged with attempted murder.

The heartbreaking story comes out of Leland, North Carolina.

Six dogs were found up on their hind legs locked in a cage, apparently left behind by their owners as they fled Hurricane Florence.

Freelance reporter Marcus DiPaola posted a video of the exact moment rescuers found the dogs where they were left to die.

In his tweet, he said that “the owner LEFT THEM locked in an outdoor cage that filled with flood water that was rapidly rising.

“We got them out, but by the time we left, the water was so high that they would have drowned. BRING YOUR PETS WITH YOU!”

The man who let the dogs out of the cage was Ryan Nichols of Longview, Texas, who was volunteering during the storm, according to the Daily Mail. The dogs could be seen whimpering as he approached the cage. They swam out as he opened it, whimpering even louder.

The scene incensed a lot of people, including pundit Ann Coulter.

“Owner should be charged with attempted murder,” she tweeted.

For once, Coulter said something that was relatively uncontroversial among readers.

The horrifying thing is that water in North Carolina was deep enough to kill trapped dogs as well as other creatures.

Do you think this dog owner ought to face criminal charges?

Leaving pets where they face the strong possibility of death isn’t grounds for an attempted murder charge, but treating your dogs this way is one of the most evil things a purported human being can do.

People, if you have pets and you know you’re in an area that can be affected by storms like this, have an evacuation plan ready. This is inexcusable and inhuman. It’s only by the grace of God that these dogs were found in time. The owner or owners ought to face some sort of punishment, even if it isn’t an attempted murder charge.
