Florida attorney Dave Aronberg, who recently issued charges of battery against Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, has been identified as a supporter of Hillary Clinton in her bid for the presidency.
The charges against Lewandowski were issued on behalf of reporter Michelle Fields. Field alleges Lewandowski grabbed her by the arm following a Trump speech as she approached the candidate.
An article by the Palm Beach Post has Aronberg listed as one of 150 members of the Florida Leadership Council, created by the Democratic Party to promote Clinton’s candidacy for president.

In a blog for DangerAndPlay.com, writer Mike Cernovich referred to the Palm Beach Post when he asserted the charges against Lewandowski were politically motivated.
Bob McGovern of the Boston Herald reported Wednesday that Aronson has not made a decision on what to do, saying, “That’s probably because this high-profile case will be tough to prove in court. In Florida, you have to show that Lewandowski ‘actually and intentionally’ touched Fields against her will.”
McGovern continued by saying, “And even though he’s a well-known Hillary Clinton supporter, those who know Aronberg’s office say there is little reason to believe he’ll try to score political points by throwing the book at Lewandowski.”

According to the website for the Office of State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit of Palm Beach, Aronson was elected state attorney in November, 2012. He also formerly served as assistant attorney general as well as state senator for Florida.
The website continued by saying, “In 2010, Aronberg returned to the Florida Attorney General’s Office as a special prosecutor for prescription drug trafficking. In his role as the Attorney General’s ‘Drug Czar,’ Aronberg led an anti-pill mill initiative that helped clean up the pain clinic industry and reduced the record number of people dying each day from oxycodone abuse.”
