Police officers do their very best to protect those in need.
But sometimes, when disaster strikes, it can take more than just police officers to save the day.
That’s where good Samaritans come into play.

Everything was fine. The day was like any other in Chesterton, Pennsylvania… Until the unthinkable happened.
In the parking lot filled with cars, a horrific accident left a man trapped under his mangled, burning vehicle.

911 was called, officers rushed to the burning scene and knew they didn’t have much time before it would be too late for the man pinned underneath the car.
Terrified for his life, the man could do nothing but wait, and hope for a miracle.

Through the officer’s dash cam, the terrifying moment was recorded and captured the incredible moments that followed.
A group of strangers formed together and pushed as hard as they could against the vehicle, now smoking profusely and searing with heat.
Finally, it gave way and began to rock. They gave another push with all the might they could muster up and moved the vehicle from its side back onto the tires.
The man didn’t move.
Officers knew what had to be done and grabbed him as fast as they could, pulling him from under the burning wreckage.

If it wasn’t for the heroic actions of the officers and complete strangers that day, the story could have had an extremely different and darker ending.

Humanity depends on each other. Though we all go through different walks of life, have different religions, backgrounds and speak different languages — there is one thing we all have in common. We are all human beings and at the end of the day, we are all we have to depend on on this earth.
When push comes to shove, it takes another human to help another get through a difficult situation. Thank you to all of the strangers that day who saved the life of a man they had never met.
