Trey Pearson stunned everyone in an open letter in which he revealed that he has been attracted to men since he was a teen:

Pearson, 35, admitted to never making out with anyone before the night after he was married. He also confessed that as the relationship progressed, he only desired intimacy through friendship with his wife, Lauren.
As Pearson was accepting the reality of being gay, he sought the counsel of his pastor and others in the church. He says he remains a man of strong faith.
“There is absolutely no conflict with accepting who I am and following Jesus,” he told Religious News Service. “God wants me to be healthy, authentic, whole, integrated and my truest self.”

Pearson said he realizes his career will never be the same after his announcement. Many Christian rock stations will not play songs by artists who are gay.
RNS reports Pearson plans to continue making music and will release a new single later this year and hopes to become a voice within the burgeoning “gay Christian” movement.
