President Barack Obama’s days as a politician are almost over, but that’s not going to stop him from making a last-ditch effort to campaign on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
In a statement released Thursday, the Clinton campaign announced it would be spending the night before the election in Philadelphia with the Obamas.
“Clinton will urge Pennsylvanians to make history on Tuesday by electing her president so she can continue pushing for the American ideals of progress, inclusion, equality and strength that our founders enshrined in our Constitution in Philadelphia in 1787,” her campaign said in a statement.

Obama plans to make the case that the former secretary of state is the most qualified candidate for assuming the role of the presidency.
The two also plan to the highlight the differences between their vision, and that of Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Clinton will contrast her beliefs to the “division and dangerous views espoused by Donald Trump in his campaign,” which the campaign says “make him unqualified, unfit and unworthy to lead this great nation.”

During the final months of this election year, Obama has continued to be a cheerleader for Clinton — often appearing at multiple rallies with her.
The president has passionately argued that a vote for Trump would mean the undoing of all the progress accomplished in the eight years of his presidency. He points to Obamacare, LGBT equality, fighting climate change, expanding the right to vote and reducing college debt as examples of what he believes is progress.
However, Trump has used Obama’s constant campaigning for Clinton as ammo for his arsenal. In a tweet sent out Thursday, Trump had a simple message for the president.

ABC News’ Jordyn Phelps said Tuesday that Obama’s campaign blitz for Clinton was something never-before seen from an incumbent president in the modern age.

“There’s a reason that Secretary Clinton’s team has asked President Obama to maintain such an aggressive travel schedule,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Tuesday. “They believe that he is a particularly effective messenger in making the case for Secretary Clinton to the American people.”
The reasons for this are also strategic, according to Phelps. He believes the Clinton campaign is capitalizing off the president’s current approval numbers; which a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll revealed was at 58 percent.
