Addressing a crowd in Scranton, Pa., on Monday, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton almost suffered a nasty fall after introducing Vice President Joe Biden.
“So Scranton, please, let’s give it up for the vice president of the United States, Joe Biden,” said Clinton, attempting to motivate the crowd.
After the introduction, Clinton went to step down from the podium but fell backward.

Clinton and Biden attempted to brush off the mishap with a mutual laugh and a pat on the back, but many have already begun questioning whether this incident could play into larger concerns regarding Clinton’s health.
Over the past several months, observers of Clinton have noted strange happenings including falls, awkward pauses, erratic behavior and memory lapses — or “short-circuiting,” as Clinton describes it — which could be the result of lasting damage from a concussion she received back in 2012.

During that same year, Clinton was excused from testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee due to health concerns, which staffers attributed to a concussion she received after fainting from dehydration.
Since that time, Clinton has suffered coughing fits, wore prism glasses to address double vision, and began taking prescription blood thinners along with thyroid medication.
In 2014, her husband, former President Bill Clinton, noted that while he believes nothing is wrong with her health, it took her a total of six months to fully recover from the effects of her concussion, likely indicating the concussion was much worse than people were initially led to believe.
Perhaps most alarming are reports that Clinton has suffered as many as two blood clots, one in her leg back in 1998 and another in 2012, relating to the concussion she received that year.
Whether the presidential nominee is still suffering from such health complications has yet to be determined.

Last week, retired neurosurgeon and former GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson expressed concern about Clinton’s health and called for her to release her medical records.
“Certainly as a person gets older, the number of medical conditions that we have to watch for increases, which is one of the reasons that we strongly suggest as you get older that you have at least an annual examination,” he said.

“If you’re going into a very important position like this, it’s critical,” Carson continued. “And that information should be something that we should have access to, because it’s very important in terms of making that decision.”
