CNN Analyst Shreds Biden for His Ridiculous Claim About Russian Interference
Joe Biden loves to say words.
Not necessarily smart words.
Or even true words.
His latest gaffe came when he was being interviewed by CNN’s Chris Cuomo.
“Look at what’s happening with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin,” Biden said during Friday’s interview. “While Putin is trying to undo our elections, he is undoing elections in Europe. Look what’s happened in Hungary. Look what’s happened in Poland. Look what’s happened in Moldova.”
“You think that would happen on my watch or Barack’s watch? You can’t answer that, but I promise you it wouldn’t have, and it didn’t.”
As Joe Setyon has written previously for The Western Journal, “trying to deny that Russian election meddling happened under the Obama administration watch is nothing short of absurd.”
But that is exactly what Biden did.
And now, even CNN political analyst David Gregory is calling him out for it.
“The other piece of this, too, I mean like when he said to Chris as well. He’s like, oh well the Russian interference, it didn’t happen on our watch, when that’s exactly whose watch it happened on,” Gregory said. “It just shows and I’ve seen it first hand, when he gets in interviews and he gets going, he can make lots of mistakes. I think we may have just seen the beginning of it.”
Gregory took it a step further by arguing the campaign generally isn’t going well and saying Biden “looks out of touch. He looks older. He looks out of step with the times.”
Yikes. When even CNN is calling out a Democrat for being out of touch and old, it must be pretty bad.
And it is.
Biden may be a lifetime politician but as his time in the spotlight grows, he’s revealing flaws that might have gone less scrutinized in days past.
His foolish answer to Cuomo is not just skewed. It’s patently false.
The Mueller report found Russia did interfere, and it did so while Obama and Biden were in office.
To assert otherwise as a defense is a mistake that Biden should have been well prepared not to make.
