Cover Girl's Gun Tattoo Turns Heads, But It's Her Gun Video That Takes Things to the Next Level

Anti-gun liberals in Hollywood aren’t going to like model Alexis Ren’s new Instagram post.

On Monday, the former Maxim cover girl posted a photo of her gun tattoo on Instagram. The tattoo, which is sure to upset some, is a small revolver on her right index finger.

Ren has an immensely large following on Instagram of more than 13 million followers, and her recent photo has already reached over 590,000 likes.

The model, who has also appeared in Sports Illustrated, is one of the most popular figures to openly embrace firearms.

And she shies away from making explicit political statements, her newest photo and previous Instagram posts speak for themselves.

In February, Ren posed with a gun and released a short video action video that featured choreographed fighting and plenty of guns.

While action videos are cool, it’s even cooler to see a popular public figure like Ren embrace gun culture.

Guns are the ultimate tools for self-defense, and women are particularly vulnerable to predators and creeps.

There are countless stories of women using firearms to defend themselves and their families from home intruders and worse.

Should more women realize how important guns can be to self-defense?

Last month, a 79-year-old woman successfully defended herself from a 20-year-old home intruder by firing shots in his direction.

In January, a woman from Chicago shot and killed an armed mugger. If the woman didn’t have a weapon of her own, she could have been the one who died.

Unfortunately, not all women are lucky enough to have a gun when they’re attacked. Last month, a rape victim gave a testimony before the House Judiciary Committee about her sexual assault on a gun-free college campus.

“Yes, I could have broken the law and brought my firearm to college,” Savannah Lindquist said.

“I obeyed the law as a responsible gun owner and it ends up in me being raped.”

It should be abundantly clear that guns keep people safe, especially women.

That’s why it’s important for more public women like Ren to deviate from the typical Hollywood mold by embracing guns and self-defense.

Hopefully, Ren’s Instagram posts will get more women interested in self-defense and gun culture.
