Flashback: 233 Out of 234 House Dems Just Agreed To Let Biological Men Take Over Women's Athletics

Democrats assure us they’re committed to women’s well-being. In fact, the first sentence on the Democratic National Committee’s “Women” page reads, “we are committed to ensuring full equality for women.”
But now women are facing the brutal reality of full equality, thanks to H.R.5, the Equality Act bill.
The bill aims to amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include protections for sexual orientation and gender identity. If made into law, this would open female athletic teams at public schools to transgender females — people otherwise known as men.
Every House Democrat but one has co-sponsored the bill. The lone left-leaning holdout is Rep. Dan Lipinski. Defending his actions in a statement to Roll Call, Lipinski said the bill would have potentially “damaging and unforeseen consequences for Americans’ religious freedom.”
Surprisingly, two Republicans also co-sponsored the bill. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick and Rep. John Katko joined the ranks of Democrats in their support of the act.
Don’t be fooled by the flowery wording of the bill and its promises of equality. It would do nothing but gut women’s sports and shred the confidence of any budding female athlete in the process.
As we’ve seen before, transgenders crossing over into the sports of the opposite sex can result in “competition” that is so nonexistent, it’s almost hilarious.
Earlier this year, a man with a year of training walked into a women’s powerlifting competition. He was awarded two gold medals and shattered a record for female weightlifters during the tournament.
If you don’t think this is a crisis for female athletes, you’re not paying attention.
Female athletes are beginning to speak out about this devastating, pervasive issue.
Paula Radcliffe, a record-holding marathon runner, said that transgender athletes have “certain advantages that women will not ever get.”
Despite outcry from liberal transgender activists, Radcliffe doubled down in a later interview, saying female competition in top-level sports “has to be protected so that females can genuinely reach the top of it.”
Even Olympians have come out against transgenders upsetting the balance of sport competitions.
Silver medalist Sharron Davies found herself at the center of a drummed-up controversy after expressing her views on transgender athletes.
“I have nothing against anyone who wishes 2be transgender,” the Olympian said in a tweet. “However I believe there is a fundamental difference between the binary sex u r born with & the gender u may identify as. To protect women’s sport those with a male sex advantage should not be able 2compete in women’s sport.”
And there is an absolute, empirical difference between men and women biologically. On average, men have denser bones, more muscle mass and are faster, stronger and larger than women.
This isn’t to say that any man can beat any woman in any sport — I’m not confident I can even finish a marathon — but that men and women’s competitions have always been segregated for a reason.
A simpler solution that Democrats are apparently unaware of is to encourage co-ed sports leagues. If women feel confident competing against men, they would have the option to do so.
If not, they would still be able to compete against their own sex, safe in the knowledge a hulking male brute won’t easily walk away as the grand champion.
