Ala. Dem Rep on Abortion: You Kill Unwanted Kids Now or You Kill Them Later

Share

Alabama State Rep. John Rogers, a Democrat, made sickening comments about abortion this week that highlight how the left feels about unborn babies.

“Some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later,” the Alabama Democrat said on the House floor Wednesday, a day after the House passed a bill that made it a crime for a physician to perform an abortion — and threatened a sentence of up to 99 years in prison.

“You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or you kill them later,” Rogers emphasized.

Rogers also defended abortion by mentioning “retarded” and “half-deformed” babies.

On Tuesday, when Republicans passed the sweeping anti-abortion bill, its sponsor said the goal was to force an eventual court challenge to the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationally.

Do statements like this actually help the pro-life cause?

“The heart of this bill is to confront a decision that was made by the courts in 1973 that said the baby in the womb is not a person,” Republican state Rep. Terri Collins said, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.

“This bill addresses that one issue. Is that baby in the womb a person? I believe our law says it is. I believe our people say it is. And I believe technology shows it is.”

The contrast between Republicans and Democrats couldn’t be any clearer when you compare the statements made by Reps. Rogers and Collins.

Pro-life Republicans are concerned with the right to life and recognize that unborn babies are human beings.

Democrats, on the other hand, are completely fine with killing unborn babies if they are “unwanted.”

Shockingly, Rogers seemed to admit that abortion is murder by saying “you kill them now or you kill them later.”

It’s sickening that someone would acknowledge that abortion is murder and still vehemently defend the barbaric practice.

And it’s equally sickening to suggest that those “unwanted” babies don’t deserve even a chance at life.

It’s also sad that Rogers would assume “unwanted” children will end up on the “electric chair” and can’t end up being happy or successful.

Individuals shouldn’t be judged based on the unfortunate circumstances of their environment or upbringing — every person deserves a chance at living life to the best of their ability.

Rogers’ comments are sickening, but they’re not surprising considering the left’s radical push for infanticide.

Democrats and pro-abortion activists are openly supporting late-term abortion, and some are even hinting at post-birth abortion — or infanticide.

“Evil” is the only word that can properly describe the left’s current abortion frenzy.
