Alec Baldwin Busted: Disgraced Actor Arrested for Alleged Assault

Share

Liberal Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin has been enjoying a resurgence in his career over the past two years, largely due to his ridiculously lame impersonation of an angry and idiotic President Donald Trump on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” which has endeared him with angry liberal Trump-hating viewers.

Unfortunately for Baldwin that resurgence in his career could be at risk depending upon the legal fallout after he was arrested Friday in New York City on assault and harassment charges.

The Daily Mail reported that Baldwin was taken into custody by NYPD officers of the 6th Precinct after punched another man during a dispute over a parking spot on East 10th Street, the same street where Baldwin maintains a multi-million dollar penthouse with his wife and four children.

Baldwin was reportedly in handcuffs as officers took him to the nearby precinct, where he was booked and processed — and likely later released — after being given a Desk Appearance Ticket and date for a court appearance.

The actor was said to have been charged with the misdemeanor crime of assault in the third degree, as well as harassment, following the violent dispute over a parking space.

A reporter for the Daily Mail managed to make it to the scene shortly after the incident occurred, and overheard an eyewitness describe how Baldwin had not only violently punched the other man, but had also been verbally abusive to his target and others as well.

The witness said of Baldwin, “He said, ‘Shut the f*** up’ and all that. Ya know, he angry. He got all that money ma. What are you so angry for?”

Should Alec Baldwin be held fully accountable for this alleged assault over a parking space?

The witness further stated that he had unsuccessfully attempted to calm Baldwin down prior to the dispute turning violent, and noted that police had taken Baldwin away inside a patrol car.

“He was like, ‘Yo, what do you think you’re doing, man? Don’t you see me parking here?'” the witness said of the confrontation. “He was minding his business and all of a sudden, (Baldwin) just punched him.”

The witness added that he believed the man who was punched by Baldwin had no idea who Baldwin was.

The Daily Mail pointed out that Baldwin had been arrested in May 2014 for disorderly conduct after police officers didn’t recognize him when he was stopped for cycling the wrong direction on a one-way street, showing that Baldwin has a history of explosive behavior when his Hollywood-garnered fame isn’t sufficiently recognized by others.

The actor has also been accused or arrested previously for assault — in 1995, and again in 2012 — both times against paparazzi photographers snapping pictures of him and/or his family outside of Baldwin’s home.

It is unclear if the arrest for assault will have any immediate bearing on Baldwin’s career, however. Since Baldwin isn’t a regular cast member of SNL — only coming in to do his Trump impersonation occasionally — it is unlikely that NBC or SNL will make any moves following this incident.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reached out to ABC for comment regarding the incident and found that the network still had full intentions to air the next episode of the actor’s new Sunday night talk show, “The Alec Baldwin Show,” as previously scheduled.

Given all of the recent talk among the left about incivility and Trump’s rhetoric leading to violence, this is some pretty bad timing for Baldwin’s violent outburst. It will be interesting to see if the left attempts to distance itself from Baldwin’s behavior or simply ignore it as no big deal … even as they’d destroy the career of a conservative-leaning actor if that individual had done the exact same thing.
