As the Muslim migrant crisis in Europe continues unabated, with politicians doing next to nothing to address the increasingly tense situation, some segments of the local population have resorted to taking matters into their own hands to express their displeasure at the status quo.
That is exactly what happened Sunday in the town of Elk in Poland, when several hundred Poles protested and rioted outside an Algerian-owned kebab restaurant after a group of Muslim migrants chased down and murdered a local man following an argument.
According to the BBC, a 26-year-old Tunisian cook has been arrested and charged with murder for the stabbing death of a man named only as Daniel R.
Daniel had been accused by employees of the restaurant of stealing a drink and had been chased off the premises by a “group of Arabs,” actually migrants of North African descent, at least one of whom ultimately stabbed Daniel twice in the chest during a scuffle in the street late Saturday night.
It didn’t take long for several hundred angry local citizens to show up outside the restaurant the next morning and exact their revenge, smashing out windows and tossing firecrackers inside the building, as reported by the U.K. Express.
“In the crowd, numbering between 200 and 300 people, dozens were behaving aggressively,” witness Rafael Kackowski reportedly told local police.
Those local police were forced to turn out in riot gear and use tear gas to disperse the angry crowd, some of whom shifted their wrath to the law enforcement officers by pelting them with rocks and bottles and abusive language.

“There has been a great tragedy. I would like to appeal and ask residents for calm and to respect the tragedy the family of the 21-year-old Daniel is experiencing,” said Elk Mayor Tomasz Andrukiewicz. “I offered psychological help to this family.”
In all, more than 25 rioters were arrested and charged with various offenses following their destructive act of revenge on the North African restaurant.
Obviously it should go without saying that we don’t approve of or condone violent behavior or acts of vigilante justice like this.
Nevertheless, we understand the frustration these locals are feeling as they see increased rates of crime and an upheaval of their longstanding traditions in conjunction with the massive influx of Middle Eastern and North African migrants.
