After Avenatti Challenges Don Jr. to Fight, MMA GOP Rep. Says I'm Your Huckleberry

Share

Apparently always in the mood for a moment in the media spotlight, Trump-hating attorney Michael Avenatti ludicrously challenged Donald Trump Jr. to a mixed martial arts-style three-round fight — for charity, of course — in a series of tweets on Oct. 9.

Avenatti is known to most as the sleazy, attention-seeking lawyer representing adult film star Stormy Daniels, real name Stephanie Clifford, in her lawsuits against President Donald Trump, which earned him the derisive moniker “creepy porn lawyer” from Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

But he has also attempted to use that infamy as a platform from which to launch a potential political career as a Democrat, which would go hand-in-hand with his near-constant rhetorical assaults on President Trump and his family and associates.

In recent weeks and months, Avenatti and Trump Jr. have been going back and forth on social media with regard to the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation into alleged Russian collusion and interference, of which Avenatti has deemed Trump Jr. to be guilty of and on the verge of an indictment.

Breitbart noted that several actual MMA fighters responded to Avenatti’s ridiculous challenge to Trump Jr. They suggested that the attorney would get creamed in the ring and that they’d be willing to train Trump Jr. ahead of a potential fight. One fighter — former Navy SEAL Carl Higbie — even said he’d gladly take Trump Jr.’s place in the cage to square off against the disreputable attorney.

Would you pay to watch a professional MMA fighter utterly destroy Michael Avenatti in a fight for charity?

Now the Washington Examiner has reported that another former MMA fighter, one who has since moved on to fight in the political arena as a member of Congress, has expressed his willingness to take the place of Trump Jr. in the ring against Avenatti.

That would be Republican Oklahoma Rep. Markwayne Mullin, who announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he’d be “more than happy” to meet Avenatti “on the mat” for an MMA-style fight.

Mullin tweeted, “It’s ridiculous that @MichaelAvenatti would even challenge @DonaldJTrumpJr to a fight. But if he’s looking for a publicity stunt, I‘d be more than happy to meet him on the mat.”

Yes, Avenatti is indeed looking for a “publicity stunt,” but something tells us his naked desire for publicity of any kind ranks lower than his desire to not get his butt kicked by professional fighters who would easily wipe the floor with him.

Tulsa World reported that Mullin was a wrestler in high school and enjoyed a brief career as an MMA fighter prior to entering politics. He is now seeking his fourth term in Congress representing Oklahoma’s 2nd District.

Mullin has made it no secret that he is incredibly supportive of President Trump and the MAGA agenda, and he even traveled with Trump Jr. on the campaign trail during the 2016 election.

“Congressman Mullin has always been supportive of charitable causes. As a former MMA fighter, he would welcome any opportunity to raise money for good causes while participating in a sport that he loves,” said a Mullin spokeswoman in a statement to Tulsa World about the challenge.

As of yet, there has not been a response from Avenatti with regard to the multiple offers from actual MMA fighters to take him on the ring in place of Trump Jr., and something tells us there won’t ever be a response … or at least not an acceptance of the offers, as again, the “creepy porn lawyer” would probably prefer he not get beat down by a professional fighter in his bid to soak up the media spotlight.
