Bakery That Refused To Bake Gay Cake Makes Shocking Announcement… This Is Awful

A few years ago the liberal media was busy pouncing on a few bakeries that were refusing to bake wedding cakes for gay couples because they claimed it violated their religious beliefs.

Sweet Cakes by Melissa, one of the bakeries that was at the center of this controversy, announced that it had closed as a result of the pressure put on them, Fox News reported.

The owners of the store have been locked in a legal battle since 2013, and that battle finally consumed their store. The state of Oregon fined them $135,000 for their refusal to bake a cake for a gay wedding.

On top of that, the family received death threats, their store was boycotted and other terrible things happened to the family — all because they didn’t want to make a cake.

“We are continuing our appeal and look forward to achieving justice for them and all people of faith who may find themselves in similar circumstances in the future,” Hiram Sasser, an attorney for First Liberty Institute, explained.

Of course the liberals who were busy threatening to kill these people because they wouldn’t make a cake have been curiously silent when it comes to various employees of companies who are refusing to serve police officers or make cakes for them.

The hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds.

The issue of baking cakes for gay weddings was extremely controversial a few years ago, but it seems to have died down since then — though it might flare up again now that it has been revealed that Sweet Cakes had to close.

While liberals certainly were within their right to disagree with Sweet Cakes refusing to serve a couple, they really had no right issuing death threats and essentially running the business into the ground.
