The former president and first lady, Barack and Michelle Obama, were barely even out of office before they had already launched an effort to obtain more money from the American people through the funding of their namesake foundation.
According to The Hill, the Obamas implored the American people to contribute both ideas and funding for their “startup for citizenship” project that will be headquartered at the yet-to-be-constructed presidential library in the South Side of Chicago.
The Obama Foundation was initiated in 2014 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ostensibly with the goal of overseeing the completion of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago — a library, museum and archive of his presidency with space for additional programs and initiatives to be added later.

Just days out of the White House, the Obamas have seemingly already begun work on those additional programs and initiatives, launching a webpage on the foundation’s site named “Your Voice,” which encourages his supporters to submit “your ideas, your hopes, your dreams about what we can achieve together.”
Included at the bottom of the page is a convenient link which takes viewers to a page where they can “contribute” something a bit more substantial than ideas and dreams though, since the Obama Foundation is also seeking donations of good old U.S. dollars to their coffers.
We have already seen what can become of a foundation built on the name and reputation of a former Democrat president, and if the Clinton Foundation is any indication, it may not be long before the Obamas are similarly engaged in potential pay-to-play schemes while living in luxury on the funds donated by others in the expectation that those donations will be repaid in some manner in the future.

Not that we are saying that such a thing will for sure happen, but we certainly aren’t ruling such a possibility out either, given what we already know of the two individuals involved, how they lived lavishly on the taxpayer dime while in office, and how their nearest Democrat predecessors handled their own namesake foundation.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter to let everyone know that the Obama Foundation is seeking contributions of both ideas and money.
