Biden Condemns Lack of Civility on Same Day He Called Cameraman 'Real P****'

Share

The hypocrisy never stops.

During a Labor Day parade in Pittsburgh, former Vice President Joe Biden made a vulgar comment toward the cameraman for the conservative PAC America Rising, using a slang term for male genitalia. At the same event, Biden talked about the importance of being civil and respectful.

Biden turned to America Rising’s cameraman and said, “You’re a real pr***, you know that?”

Biden’s comment is ironic considering this was the same event where he spoke about restoring civility in politics, according to Independent Journal Review.

“It’s about time we restore dignity to work, it’s about time we start talking to each other like we’re civilized and deal with one another with respect,” Biden said.

This is contrary to Biden’s past behavior which shows even more uncivil comments.

In March, Biden suggested that he would have “beat the hell out of” President Donald Trump if they were in high school together,

“They asked me would I like to debate this gentleman, and I said no. I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him,'” Biden said at the time, according to CNN.

It seems like Biden is the one who needs a lecture on civility and respect in politics.

Biden may be trying to change his rhetoric as the 2020 election draws closer.

In July, Biden suggested he would make up his mind about running by the beginning of 2019, according to USA Today.

“I know I have to make up my mind and I have to do it by January,” Biden said.

Biden has also expressed regret for his remarks about fighting Trump.

“The idea that I would actually physically get in a contest with a president of the United States or anybody else now, is not what I said, and it is not what this was about, but I should have just left it alone,” Biden said, according to Politico.

Biden, of course, has a reputation for behavior that goes well beyond dumb words, and could complicate any run for the presidency in 2020. However, his recent comments about civility and respect don’t make him look like a more viable candidate. They just make him look like a hypocrite.

It’s hard to take Biden seriously when he clearly doesn’t hold himself to his own standards of civility.
