A group of tourists that included four Americans were robbed outside a hotel in Parisian suburb Saturday after being hit with a chemical spray of tear gas by a group of attackers, European news outlets reported.
The group of 19 tourists — which also included three Moroccans and 12 French citizens — were waiting for a shuttle outside a Novotel hotel on Saturday morning. That’s when several vehicles stopped in front of the hotel and a black-clad group of thieves emerged from them.

The attackers then proceeded to spray the tourists and made off with their luggage and other personal possessions.
The Daily Mail cited the French language news outlet BFM.TV in reporting that investigators are still looking into who was responsible for the attacks. The robbers are all at large and no suspects have yet been named.
In recent years, crime on the roads and hotels around Charles de Gaulle Airport and Le Bourget Airport — Europe’s largest airport for private jets — has been increasing.
