Just because the liberal media have focused their intense hate on President Donald Trump doesn’t mean they don’t have any extra hate and intolerance left over for other top conservatives and Republicans, a fact recently displayed by the liberal-leaning sports outlet Deadspin.
That rag had learned that GOP Texas Sen. Ted Cruz had arranged a friendly basketball game among his Senate colleagues and put out the call for any pictures or video of the event, obviously with the intention of using them to bully and shame Cruz.
Cruz himself responded with a couple a jokes that served only to enrage Deadspin’s editor, Tim Marchman, who proceeded to curse Cruz and to mock and challenge Cruz supporters on Twitter, suggesting they were all too afraid to meet him for a fight in a UFC octagon, according to TheBlaze.
WARNING: Offensive language ahead.
“Unsurprising that not one Ted Cruz-supporting cuck/Twitter user is willing to face me in the UFC octagon,” Marchman tweeted.
Likely to Marchman’s surprise and dismay, two Cruz supporters responded to his challenge — military veterans with combat experience.
Oh yeah, and one is a former UFC fighter as well.
Right Scoop reported that Marchman’s challenge was initially met by J.R. Salzman, an Iraq War veteran who lost an arm and part of his hand to an IED blast more than ten years ago. Despite that, he has become a champion lumberjack and excels at various other outdoor sports.
Salzman merely tweeted, “Time and place?”
The next day, Marchman’s challenge was again accepted, this time by former Special Forces warrior and mixed martial arts star Tim Kennedy, who called the Deadspin editor a “cyber bully” while also telling him, “I’m your huckleberry,” channeling Val Kilmer’s portrayal of Doc Holliday in the classic film “Tombstone.”
“I’m your huckleberry. I also take note that you are a pathetic cyber bully. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org I’m available at your leisure,” Kennedy tweeted.
It should be noted that Kennedy has scored 18 wins during his UFC career, including six by knockout and eight by submission holds. He is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and earned a Bronze Star for his service in Iraq, according to the Washington Examiner.
Kennedy gave an interview about the challenge with “Trending Today USA” host Rusty Humphries on the USA Radio Network. You can listen to it right here:
As one might imagine, Marchman hasn’t responded or even tweeted at all since his challenge was accepted by the two Cruz-supporting veterans.
This liberal writer thought he could bully and shame a popular U.S. senator, but he likely wasn’t counting on his intolerant hate being criticized or his big-mouthed challenge being accepted.
He was very, very wrong, and now it is time for him to put his big-boy pants on and put up or shut up. We would prefer the latter, although the former would certainly be interesting to see.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter to spread the word that two military veterans answered the call when a liberal sports writer challenged Ted Cruz supporters to a fight.
