Prominent conservative Christian groups may be under attack online, if harsh action from Facebook is any indication.
Some of the pages that are now blocked had millions of followers. The reasons given for the abrupt decision were vague, with Facebook saying that they were “suspected of suspicious activities.”

“One of the blocked English-language fanpages was ‘Jesus and Mary’, which had 1.7 million followers. The page’s main cover photo was of the sacred hearts of Jesus and Mary,” explained CNA.
In the case of that conservative-leaning page, the page’s administrator was locked out of his personal account at the same time. He was reportedly asked to upload a photo of himself to verify his identity.
After doing what Facebook requested, the admin was able to access his personal account… but he was told that the Catholic page with nearly 2 million followers had been disabled.
