Actual Cherokee Woman Unloads on Elizabeth Warren in Must-See Interview

Share

In a stunning interview over the weekend, an actual Native American slammed pretend Indian Sen. Elizabeth Warren for using the fact that she might perhaps be 1/32nd Cherokee to identify as part Native American.

“As a mixed Native woman, I get to relive the stereotypes that Warren perpetuates every day,” said proud Cherokee Rebecca Nagle, the co-director of the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, during an interview Saturday with Fox News host Jesse Watters. “People ask me, ‘What part Cherokee are you? Who in your family was Cherokee?’”

“I’m not part Cherokee — I am Cherokee,” she continued. “I am a citizen of a federally recognized tribe. We are contemporary people. We have vibrant communities. We are not fractions of imagined Indians who used to exist. So, what I would love to see Elizabeth Warren do is take responsibility for her false claim.”

The conservative MRCTV notes that while Nagle somewhat sounds “like one of the perpetually offended liberals we hear about on a daily basis, it’s important to note that there’s a difference between being offended just to be offended by something and being offended because someone is using a lie to benefit from a group’s struggle.”

This brings us to Nagle’s key point: “A Cherokee genealogist traced her heritage to well before the time of the Trail of Tears, and she doesn’t have a single Cherokee ancestor.” Bingo.

Warren has fraudulently been exploiting Nagle’s culture to benefit politically, which is absolutely stunning given that “perpetually offended liberals” such as Warren and others are always so quick to blast anyone who “appropriates” culture for fun holidays like Halloween.

In other words, to hypocrites like Elizabeth Warren, it’s perfectly fine to “appropriate” a culture for political gain, but wrong to “appropriate” culture for the purposes of an age-old holiday.

Is Elizabeth Warren a hack?

Nagle is not the first, nor will she likely be the last, Native American to publicly condemn Warren for her fraudulent claims.

Many among the left feel similarly, according to The Boston Globe, which earlier this month reported that there’s “discomfort on the left and among some tribal leaders and activists” about Warren’s lies.

Even “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah, known for lambasting conservatives, “mocked her for claiming Native American ancestry,” the Globe noted.

And even his criticism was lightweight compared to what a Native American Indian woman by the name of Garance Franke-Ruta wrote for The Atlantic six years ago:

“Elizabeth Warren is not a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. Elizabeth Warren is not enrolled in the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. And Elizabeth Warren is not one of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee,” Franke-Ruta wrote. “Nor could she become one, even if she wanted to.”

Brutal, but true. Warren is not a Native American Indian. She’s just a pathetic, shameless hypocritical, self-serving Democrat hack. Nothing more.
