Chris Pratt Has Incredible Response After Hollywood Actress Attacks His 'Anti-LGBTQ' Church
By virtually any metric, Hollywood star Chris Pratt is a classy and talented human being.
Pratt is rivaled perhaps by only Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as far as smash blockbuster Hollywood films go, with Pratt’s starring roles in movies such as “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “The Lego Movie” and “Jurassic World” drawing both big money and generally positive reviews.
But Pratt’s powerful commitment to his faith is more important than anything he has ever done on a Hollywood set.
Pratt has never made any secret about his beliefs or his relationship with God and Jesus.
In fact, he’s gone decidedly against the typical leftist Hollywood grain by being so public about religion. Whether it’s award shows or even his diet, Pratt’s made it pretty clear that when it comes to his faith, he’s “not going to change.”
And it’s perhaps because of the fact that he so often goes against that Hollywood grain that Pratt was so bizarrely attacked by one of his peers after a harmless appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
Pratt didn’t even say anything particularly controversial during his appearance. If anything, he relayed a powerful message that he attributed to his pastor.
“If the spotlight that is shining on you is brighter than the light that’s within you, it will kill you,” Pratt said.

That’s a great message that anyone, famous or not, should heed.
Instead of lauding Pratt’s infectiously positive outlook, Hollywood actress Ellen Page somehow took issue with Pratt’s appearance on Colbert’s show and took to Twitter to attack his church.

Oh. K. Um. What?
Again, it’s not abundantly clear what exactly Pratt said to trigger Page. As most late night television interviews tend to be, Pratt’s appearance on “The Late Show” was, at worst, an inoffensive opportunity to plug Pratt’s upcoming “The Lego Movie 2.”
Unsurprisingly, Pratt knew exactly how to respond to Page’s vilification of Pratt’s church, the Zoe Church in Los Angeles, and he did it with a classiness that is all too lacking from Hollywood these days. The 39-year-old actor took to his Instagram story, which deletes itself after a day, to respond to Page’s claims of his church being “infamously anti lgtbq.”

“It has recently been suggested that I belong to a church which hates a certain group of people and is ‘infamously anti-LGBTQ.’ Nothing could be further from the truth. I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone,” Pratt wrote.
Pratt then also explained how supportive and important his church was to him when his marriage was falling apart.
“Despite what the Bible says about my divorce, my church community was there for me every step of the way, never judging, just gracefully accompanying me on my walk. They helped me tremendously offering their love and support. It is what I have seen them do for others on countless occasions regardless of sexual orientation, race, or gender.”
Perhaps the most important line of Pratt’s response came in his final paragraph.
“We need less hate in this world, not more,” he said.
Pratt’s 100 percent correct on that one. I’m just not sure he’s going to get that from the far left.
