Climate Change Enthusiasts Silenced as Unprecedented Storm Rocks Florida

Share

In case you hadn’t noticed, it has been incredibly cold throughout virtually the entirety of the United States for the past couple of weeks, which has left some proponents of the “global warming” movement a bit speechless.

Typically, advocates of the idea of man-made global warming will shift their narrative to the all-encompassing “climate change” during cold snaps, but even that rhetorical trick seems to have become played out these days.

Perhaps that is because the climate change alarmists have raised such a stink over the past few decades about supposedly skyrocketing temperatures that their panicked bleating simply doesn’t ring true anymore when Americans in northern states are experiencing prolonged subzero temperatures and southern states are receiving unprecedented snowstorms.

Even President Donald Trump took a humorous shot at the alarmists in late December when he hilariously tweeted that the bitterly cold east coast states “could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming” leftists constantly wail about.

Meanwhile, Rare reported that the typically warm and sunny state of Florida was experiencing significant (for them) snowfall for the first time in decades.

Indeed, roughly an inch of snow fell on the Tallahassee area on Wednesday, the first time they have seen snowfall accumulation since 1989.

Residents in other parts of the state dealt with icy conditions and frigid wind chills from the strong winter storm that ripped across several southern states.

According to NPR, that winter storm is now barreling up the east coast, with the typically hyperbolic media and weather forecasters now referring to the normal “nor’easter” as a far more dangerous-sounding “bomb cyclone.”

When all is said and done, this storm will have blanketed nearly the entire coast from Florida to Maine in ice, snow and freezing temperatures, resulting in states of emergency being declared in those southern states unaccustomed to such winter weather.

The New American asked in a post published the same day as Trump’s tweet, “Where’s my global warming?” as the author recounted how he dealt with the frigid winter weather on Christmas day.

Of course, the climate change alarmists will arrogantly state that cold winter weather and snowstorms don’t disprove their global warming theory, even as they smugly point to hot summer weather, hurricanes and tropical storms and wildfires as prime evidence of their assertions.

In reality, any student of history who has taken the time to look knows that the earth’s climate and weather patterns have gone through cyclical changes over the course of the millenia, with unnaturally warm periods and ice ages at various points in time, as well as both stronger and weaker than average storms — long before humans began emitting the dreaded “greenhouse gases.”

As we await the inevitable rebuttal from the currently speechless global warming alarmists, who will eventually find a way to portray this incredibly cold winter weather as proof of a warmer planet, we would advise throwing another log on the fire and getting under a pile of blankets in the meantime.

Please share this story on Facebook and Twitter so everyone can see what “global warming,” er, “climate change,” just brought to the state of Florida.
