CNN Anchor Links Fox News to Christchurch Shooter During Taxpayer-Funded 'News' Show

Share

CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour made a sickening connection between Fox News and the Christchurch shooter during a segment on her PBS show.

Amanpour invited The New York Times’ Jonathan Mahler and James Rutenberg on Thursday’s edition of PBS’ “Amanpour and Company” to discuss their Fox News hit piece.

In their three-part series about Fox News published last week, Mahler and Rutenberg slammed the network as “bigoted” and anti-immigrant.

As Newsbusters pointed out, Mahler further explained his perception of Fox News on PBS by claiming “what’s happening now on Fox News, which is this – you know – very sort of strongly, kind of nationalist, kind of ethno-nationalist agenda, which you know, which you can also see at their outlet in Australia, Sky News Australia.”

Obviously, Mahler doesn’t have any concrete evidence of Fox News’ “ethno-nationalist agenda” because it’s complete nonsense.

The establishment media’s extreme rhetoric against Fox News and conservatives isn’t based in reality — this rhetoric is meant to fool liberals who don’t know any better.

A good host would have stopped Mahler and toned down the extreme rhetoric, but Amanpour escalated the attacks on Fox News — by attacking its Australian version, Sky News.

“Well, I mean, look, I have to, you know, point out right now that the danger of this kind of activity,” Amanpour began.

“Because this (Sky News program) you’re talking about, I mean, one could say, ‘Well, look, what happened — it was an Australian who went to New Zealand and massacred 50 people in two mosques.”

First of all, it’s important to note that Amanpour wasn’t doing this Fox-bashing on her own time, or on CNN’s dime.

She was interviewing two employees of The New York Times, possibly the left wing’s most influential voice in American culture, and doing it on PBS, a medium paid for by the American public, very much including Fox News fans.

Your tax dollars at work.

Second of all, Fox News hasn’t encouraged violence.

In fact, Fox News hosts tend to be among the harshest critics of terrorism and politically-motivated attacks.

So why would Amanpour and her guests try to link Fox News to an act of terrorism — however tenuous the connection?

Does Fox News deserve an apology?

It’s because the establishment media hacks are upset that Fox News reports both sides of the immigration debate, as a news outlet should.

Let’s not forget the countless attacks on supporters of President Donald Trump while the establishment media and left-wing politicians spew extreme rhetoric.

And never forget that Rep. Steve Scalise was shot and nearly killed in an attack by a rabid supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Amanpour was projecting — left-wing media hacks are the ones using extreme, divisive rhetoric, and that’s exactly what the Christchurch shooter wanted.
