Co-Ed's Bold Graduation Pic After Parkland Gets National Attention

Share

Talk about triggered.

A University of Tennessee-Chattanooga student had snowflakes either screeching or swooning this week after she announced her graduation by posting a picture of herself on Twitter, with a handgun poking prominently from the waistband of a pair of very tight jeans.

But it might have been the message on Brenna Spencer’s T-shirt that really drove them bananas.

The picture shows Spencer posing defiantly with Chatanooga’s Chief John Ross Bridge in the background, according to Newsweek, with the gun’s handle easily visible against her exposed midriff.

“I don’t take normal graduation photos,” her caption states.

As understatements go, that’s a doozy.

And to say it’s been a hit would be an understatement, too. By Tuesday afternoon, the post had been retweeted more than 10,000 times and received more than 75,000 “likes” since it went out Saturday.

But many hated it, too.

Do you object to anything about this woman's photo?

In the post-Parkland era, when hysteria has become the normal mode for liberals bent on doing away with Americans’ gun rights, Spencer’s stand for firearms upsets the liberals’ standard argument about guns being a gender issue.

Even more, her T-shirt boldly proclaiming “Women for Trump” gives the lie to one of the liberals’ biggest piece of propaganda in the Trump administration.

To liberals — from Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama to the feminists wearing vagina hats at the Women’s March — it’s an article of faith that President Donald Trump only won the 2016 election because women who voted for him were bowing to pressure from the men in their lives, and voting against their own interests.

Spencer’s shirt states pretty unequivocally who she was for. And the gun in her waistband emphatically explains why.

If Clinton had won in 2016, gun-grabbing Democrats would be a good deal further in their effort to get rid of the Second Amendment, and women who believe in self-defense would be robbed of the single most effective means of fighting off an assailant that has ever existed.

It wasn’t long before liberals started screeching, with the kind of foul-mouthed invective that has always marked liberals’ arguments, but has been even more prevalent than usual thanks to the juvenile celebrity “survivors” of February’s shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. (Adults can’t call political opponents “pathetic f***ers” and expect to be taken seriously. Parkland student David Hogg can and the media applauds him.)

A glance at Twitter will show just how outspoken Spencer was about her views long before she posted her graduation photo, and some of the hate she’s already received has been appalling.

She posted this image from her phone in January, with the comment, “This is how the left debates.”

But her graduation post took invective to a new level.

This from the “liberal-women-who-smear-women” club.

And this is the “liberals-for-racism” gang.

And this from the “liberals-for-racism-who-hate-women” losers:

But this response from a Spencer supporter said it all:

And that’s really the point.

Liberals’ problems with guns don’t seem to extend to the country’s enemies. They just dislike Americans like Spencer exercising their God-given, constitutionally protect right to defend themselves.

They preach freedom for women, but detest women who actually think for themselves enough to know that supporting Hillary would have meant supporting the disarming of America.

And when they’re defied by a young woman willing to put her support for gun rights out on social media for the whole world to see, there’s only one to describe it:

They’re triggered beyond reason.

And we can all thank Spencer for it.
