Former FBI Director James Comey‘s written statement to Congress was released to the public on Wednesday, and it contained several eyebrow-raising pieces of information.
In addition to confirming that Comey did actually tell President Donald Trump three times that he personally wasn’t under investigation, the statement also revealed that Comey never kept detailed memos about his conversations with former President Barack Obama, The Daily Caller reported.
“To ensure accuracy, I began to type it on a laptop in an FBI vehicle outside Trump Tower the moment I walked out of the meeting. Creating written records immediately after one-on-one conversations with Mr. Trump was my practice from that point forward,” Comey wrote in his statement.

Comey’s memos have become a source of intense controversy after details of one of the memos were leaked to the media, causing Democrats to start screaming about Trump obstructing justice.
“This had not been my practice in the past,” Comey wrote. “I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person … In neither of those circumstances did I memorialize the discussions,” he wrote.

That is very interesting. Comey was apparently so biased against Trump from day one (or assumed he would eventually get fired) that he decided to leave a paper trail behind — a paper trail that has caused many headaches for the administration.
It is very suspicious that Comey would choose to not to take the same kind of notes on his conversations with Obama.
As the former director of the FBI, he really should have taken notes on his conversations with Obama to ensure accuracy in the event anyone asked any questions about his meetings — as they are sure to do now.
In his written testimony, Comey indicated that he didn’t feel the need to “memorialize” his conversations with Obama the way he did with Trump because there weren’t as many of them, but is that the whole reason?
The American people deserve to know.
