Common Core has given American parents and students one very important thing in common: an absolute loathing of Common Core.

We’ve all seen some of the more ridiculous math problems that the Common Core curriculum has bequeathed upon America’s beleaguered students.

However, even by that low bar, this one takes the cake (or takes the π — ahaha, get it? I’m hilarious).

This *would* be hilarious if it weren’t so pathetic.

Imagine how confused this kid is now when teachers are telling him “Yes, you can get 10 when you add 8+5”It’s almost…

Really, now? Wow. You can make 8+5=10, you just have to find numbers within numbers. According to “Obamacore,” anything can equal anything. Here, let me do a problem for you:

“Make 6+2 equal 2,856.”

“First, take -728 and subtract it from 2. Then, times it by 86y². Put the results into a table with possible odd solutions on the left and even ones on the right. Then, put it into a quadratic equation. Then, erase everything you’ve done so far and just write the number 2,856. Problem solved.”

I just aced my very first math quiz under the new system. Awesome! I think I’m going to like this Common Core stuff.

Sadly, this isn’t the only math problem our students are facing that makes flying a Boeing CH-47 Chinook look easy by comparison.

I understand that problem the same way that Bernie Sanders understands economics: I don’t. Don’t our students have enough problems without this garbage?

Yes, our kids didn’t have enough problems understanding math to begin with, so let’s make them do simple subtraction like this. If we’re wondering why more and more students are graduating with liberal arts degrees they can’t really use, this is one of the reasons — we’re terrible at teaching our children math.

This is one of the reasons we need a real conservative as president — Common Core needs to go, and it needed to go yesterday. Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter if you agree.
