It’s pretty stunning what liberals are willing to believe.
In a recent article published by the East Bay Times, writer Chuck Barney implied that President Donald Trump might, somehow, some way, have had something to do with the Oscars‘ major flub.
In case you weren’t watching — and we wouldn’t blame you one bit — there was a mistake in the presentation of the award for Best Picture, and “La La Land” was announced the winner — and then everything was straightened out and it turned out that “Moonlight” had actually won.

Despite a complete lack of anything any reasonable person would consider “evidence,” Barney would like his readers to believe that Trump might have been involved in a revenge move against host Jimmy Kimmel for past jabs at the president.

“Did presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway blow it big time?” Barney asked. “Was this the revenge of Steve Harvey? Or did the White House play a role — seeking retaliation for all those zingers Kimmel tossed President Trump’s way?”
“Conspiracy theories will undoubtedly abound as sleuths seek to get to the bottom of this Oscar fiasco,” he added.

Conspiracy theories might abound because of idiotic reporting like Barney’s, but that’s really the only way the issue might become a political one.
Kimmel even accepted the blame, saying that he “knew (he) would screw this show up,” according to the Los Angeles Times.
Maybe this time, Barney, you might want to consider keeping your opinions to yourself.
