Coulter Owns Prankster: Pro-Choice Moms Are Killing Babies, So Let's Arm Fetuses
Notorious British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is back on the entertainment scene again, this time promoting and starring in a new comedy series set to air on Showtime.
Part of that promotion included a 10-minute long teaser video that showed a number of pro-gun Republicans appearing to be in agreement with the notion that young schoolchildren should be armed to help prevent future school shootings, according to Mediaite.
Baron disguised himself for the gag as a fictional Israeli anti-terrorism expert named “Col. Erran Morad,” who was making the rounds in Washington to drum up support for a made-up program known as “Kinder-Guardians” which would purportedly train students aged 4 to 12 years old on how to handle firearms.
Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter responded to the obvious gag with a prank tweet of her own that shifted the topic of conversation away from arming children with guns to ward off school shooters to arming unborn children with guns to prevent abortions.

In response to a Mediaite tweet about Cohen’s prank, Coulter wrote: “Whereas I support arming fetuses to protect them from their pro-choice moms.”
Though Coulter was obviously not speaking literally with her call for “arming fetuses” to defend against abortions, she nevertheless made a valid point about the lack of protections for the most vulnerable among us all … the unborn.
Her tweet linked to the Mediaite article about Baron’s prank on pro-gun Republicans, which succeeded in prompting a handful of Republican members of Congress to state for the camera how they supported the fictional Israeli program to arm schoolchildren.
The teaser video released by Cohen and Showtime featured clips of Gun Owners of America president Larry Pratt, California Rep. Dana Rohrbacher, South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson, former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh and former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, among others, expressing their support for the idea.
Florida Rep. Mat Gaetz was featured in the clip as well, but he seemed awfully skeptical of the supposed program and Cohen’s insistence that he express his support for it.
“You want me to say on television that I support 3- and 4-year-olds with firearms? Is that what you’re asking me to do?” asked a rather incredulous Gaetz, to which Cohen replied with some hesitation, “Uhh, yes.”
Gaetz declined to take the bait, however, and kindly informed Cohen that most lawmakers typically wouldn’t issue a statement of support for a program without first checking into it … but it would seem he overestimated the wisdom of some of his colleagues.
Others featured in the clip seemed to have no issue in expressing their support for the fictional program, and stated as much, though it seemed at times as though they were reading a statement that had been prepared ahead of time for them.
Indeed, Walsh stated afterwards that he had been “tricked” into reading an absurd statement from a teleprompter, one which spoke of children training with pistols, rifles and even mortars and ended with the phrase, “Happy shooting, kids.”
This stunt by the comedian Cohen was obviously designed with the intention of making pro-gun Republicans look stupid and evil. And to give credit where it’s due, Cohen succeeded in part.
But more importantly, Coulter flipped the script with a scathing tweet that shifted the focus from school shootings to the atrocity that is legalized abortion.
