Dem Darling Sarsour Mourned Murdered Jews, But Has Said Muslims Shouldn't 'Humanize' Israelis
On Sunday, leftist activist Linda Sarsour led the Women’s March’s vigil in Washington for the victims of the mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue that killed 11 people.
The American Muslim activist spoke of solidarity with American Jews, saying, “I hope that you commit and you join me and my sisters and brothers who are here today, to resist hate and choose unrelenting love every single time,” as reported by the Algemeiner Journal.
But these pro-Jewish sentiments are inconsistent with opinions Sarsour has expressed in the not-so-distant past.
She has been a prominent advocate for the “Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions” movement that’s aimed at strangling Israel economically, and rejects the “two-state” solution in the Middle East in which Arabs would recognize Israel’s right to exist in return for Israel supporting a Palestinian state.
Just last month, Sarsour said she was an “unapologetic, pro-BDS, one-state solution supporting resistance supporter” at the Islamic Society of North America’s national convention in early September in Houston, according to the independent Investigative Project on Terrorism.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement, has been deemed officially anti-Semitic by officials like the Berlin State Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Germany, according to The Times of Israel.
According to IPT, at the same convention, Sarsour said that Muslims shouldn’t “humanize the oppressor” of Palestinans, referring to Israel. Israel is home to more Jews than any other country, almost half of the world’s Jewish population, according to the Jewish Virtual Library (the United States follows at a close second).
At the convention, Sarsour openly discouraged Muslims from reaching out to those who support Israel as the Jewish state, saying, “If you’re on the side of the oppressor, or you’re defending the oppressor or you’re actually trying to humanize the oppressor.”
“Then that’s a problem, sisters and brothers, and we got to be able to say: That is not the position of the Muslim American community.”
She also attempted to shame Muslims who weren’t advocating for Palestinian objectives enough, saying, “You as an American Muslim are complicit in the occupation of Palestinians, in the murder of Palestinian protesters.”
“So when we start debating in the Muslim community about Palestine, it tells me a lot about you and about the type of faith that you have in your heart.”
No matter what activists like Sarsour say at vigils, they don’t want to promote harmony between Muslims and Jews. And Sarsour clearly doesn’t want anyone to think of Israelis as humans.
The Jewish Journal reported on Sept. 6 that Simon Wiesenthal Center Associate Dean Rabbi Abraham Cooper called Sarsour’s comments the kind that “you would associate … with Hamas.”
(Hamas, of course, is the terrorist organization whose charter includes the final line that “Islamic groups all over the Arab world should also do the same, since they are best equipped for their future role in the fight against the warmongering Jews.”)
“You wouldn’t automatically associate such language on the part of someone who is touted as an elite spokesperson for women’s rights, equal rights in the United States,” Cooper said.
“This has nothing to do with making America a more inclusive and welcoming society,” Cooper continued. “This is about recasting the values of our nation to fit her mindset and we can only hope that there will be more and more voices within the progressive leadership that denounce her.”
Too many Democrats ignore anti-Semitism unless it serves their agenda. Democrats in general have done nothing but praise Sarsour, despite her history of she and her Women’s March colleagues allying with anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who has said that “powerful Jews” are his “enemy,” according to CNN. (And that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the alarming company Sarsour likes to keep).

Democrats, of course, love Sarsour, as conservative commentator Ben Shapiro documented in a 2017 column for National Review.
You know it’s time to leave the Democratic party when they are eager to support a terrorist sympathizer who calls for division and disruption.
