Bombshell: Obama DOJ Official Actively Hid Fusion GPS Payments

Share

Just when the Department of Justice scandal seems to have reached its peak, the evidence of corruption gets even stronger.

Both the DOJ and FBI are embroiled in controversy after their strong bias against one political candidate — Donald Trump — was uncovered. At the center of the storm is Fusion GPS, a private firm that conducted skewed “opposition research” on behalf of Hillary Clinton and the Democrat party.

It has already been revealed that the DNC paid Fusion GPS for a dossier meant to smear Trump, and that the Department of Justice used this to obtain wiretaps at Trump Tower while hiding its true origin.

Now, another suspicious connection between the Department of Justice and Fusion GPS has been uncovered. The wife of a government official who was a key part of the dossier scheme was receiving payments from Fusion — but this conflict of interest was actively concealed.

“Bruce Ohr, the Department of Justice official who brought opposition research on President Donald Trump to the FBI, did not disclose that Fusion GPS, which performed that research at the Democratic National Committee’s behest, was paying his wife,” reported The Daily Caller.

Failing to disclose that information is more than just a simple paperwork mistake. Since even-handedness within the Department of Justice is supposed to be important, purposely falsifying government ethics forms is a serious offense that is punishable by jail time.

The evidence suggests that Bruce Ohr’s wife, Nellie — herself a former CIA official with links to Russia — was being paid by Fusion GPS for work related to the now-infamous “dirty dossier.”

These payments were kept hidden by the Ohrs, but Bruce wasted no time in using the same dossier his wife had been paid to work on to encourage the FBI to investigate Trump’s team.

Remember, the dossier research funding for Fusion GPS was coming from the Democrat party all along. It’s a political pyramid scheme: FBI members used the made-up dossier to justify their biases, while the dossier was given false importance because FBI officials were biased.

Do you believe DOJ officials were compromised by bias?

“The DOJ used it to obtain a warrant to wiretap a Trump adviser, but didn’t disclose to the judge that the DNC and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign had funded the research and that Ohr had a financial relationship with the firm that performed it — which could be, it turns out, because Ohr doesn’t appear to have told his supervisors,” explained the Caller.

It gets worse. In addition to apparently concealing that his wife was being paid to help create the exact same dossier he was circulating to the FBI, Ohr also hid the fact that he was meeting with Fusion GPS himself.

“Bruce Ohr was demoted at the DOJ last week for concealing his meetings with the same company, which commissioned the anti-Trump ‘dossier’ containing salacious allegations about the now-president,” Fox News reported in December.

This raises another question: Is it possible that the entire reason Ohr was so eagerly trying to hawk the dossier to the DOJ because he had made an agreement with Fusion GPS to peddle it — with his wife receiving payments for this promotion of Fusion’s work?

“Some have suggested that the financial payments motivated Bruce Ohr to actively push the case,” The Daily Caller stated.

The entire situation stinks more than a pile of manure. It’s hard to ignore the signs that Bruce Ohr, his wife, and many others within the Department of Justice were basically selling their government influence to the highest bidder.

Americans used to have a general trust in government agencies like the FBI and the DOJ to do the right thing. We like to think that for the most part, people within non-partisan bureaus — especially in federal law enforcement — have the country’s best interest in mind and are honest and forthright.

That illusion is now being shattered. From the dossier to hateful text messages and political collusion, recent scandals have shown that Washington is a cesspool of personal greed and political bias, and even once-proud institutions like the FBI seem to have collapsed into the sinking swamp.
