Elizabeth Warren Finally Admits She's 'Not a Person of Color'
Maybe it was the unprecedented ridicule and scorn. Maybe it was the laughable DNA test. Maybe it was the Cherokee Nation scorching her.
Or, maybe it’s the simple fact that she’s wrong and her charade has run its course.
Whatever the reason, color me mildly surprised that Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren has all but admitted her ruse and come clean on her alleged Native American heritage.
As the Washington Post reports, Warren gave a speech at Morgan State University, which is a historically black school.
“As a country, we need to stop pretending that the same doors open for everyone, because they don’t,” Warren said in a commencement address.
That’s when she chose to drop perhaps the most obvious statement of all time — one that has been readily apparent to swathes of Americans for some time now.
“I’m not a person of color,” Warren admitted. “And I haven’t lived your life or experienced anything like the subtle prejudice, or more overt harm, that you may have experienced just because of the color of your skin.”
Wow. Despite the long overdue admission, the rest of Warren’s speech reeked of the typical leftist drivel and identity politics that she clearly clings onto.
“Rules matter, and our government — not just individuals within the government, but the government itself — has systematically discriminated against black people in this country,” Warren said. She then cited the 2008 financial crisis.
“Millions of people — black, white, Latino, Asian — lost their homes. Millions lost their jobs. Millions lost their savings — millions, tens of millions, but not the people at the top,” Warren continued.
“The bank CEOs just kept raking in the money,” Warren added. “Two sets of rules: one for the wealthy and well-connected. And one for everybody else. Two sets of rules: one for white families. And one for everybody else.”
Her speech was basically a “Greatest Hits” of leftist talking points. Never mind the victim mentality that the left seems all too eager to instill in their base, the fact that Warren has the audacity to say these things after she had initially tried to pass off as a minority is flat out offensive.
You know who’s “wealthy and well-connected”? Warren. It’s laughable that she thinks her opinion has any merit.
“But I’m here with a bolder message,” Warren said in her speech. “It’s time to change the rules . . . Rules matter. And you have the power to make this country a more perfect union — to make it the nation you want it to be.”
She’s right. Rules do matter. That’s why she should never lay claim to being a Native American ever again.
