Epstein Reportedly Got a Rude Awakening from Trump When He Tried To Assault a Girl at Mar-a-Lago

Share

Anyone trying to link Donald Trump to convicted billionaire sex offender (and now re-accused convicted sex offender) Jeffrey Epstein for political gain might want to think twice after looking at court documents coming out of the Sunshine State.

According to the New York Post, an April 2011 court filing says that Epstein was thrown out of Mar-a-Lago after Trump discovered that he was using the grounds to prey on teenage girls.

“Trump allegedly banned Epstein from his Maralago Club in West Palm Beach because Epstein sexually assaulted a girl at the club,” the court papers stated.

The filing was part of a long-running legal battle between Epstein and Bradley Edwards, who represents many of the financier’s alleged victims.

“The same filing also cites an underage Jane Doe’s allegation that Epstein’s girlfriend-turned-pal Ghislane Maxwell recruited her at Mar-a-Lago to be the couple’s ‘sex slave,’” the Post reported.

The truth of this — as is so often the case with Epstein — is anyone’s guess. What’s important is that the documents in question were filed back in April of 2011. That means it was well before Trump’s presidential run.

However, if true, it means that Trump put a hard stop to his relationship with the financier when it became clear to Trump that Epstein was a serial pervert.

There are also other stories involving how Epstein got himself ejected from Mar-a-Lago. In 2007, a source told the Post’s Page Six that he had sexually harassed a masseuse.

“He would use the spa to try to procure girls. But one of them, a masseuse about 18 years old, he tried to get her to do things,” the source said, according to Page Six. “Her father found out about it and went absolutely ape-[bleep]. Epstein’s not allowed back.”

Do you think Jeffrey Epstein will be convicted?

At the time, Epstein claimed he was still allowed on the premises. Trump seemed to deny this on Tuesday, saying that he hadn’t had a relationship with Epstein in a decade and a half.

“I knew him like everybody in Palm Beach knew him,” Trump said to reporters at the White House. “I had a falling out a long time ago, I’d say maybe 15 years.

“I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you.”

Meanwhile, The New York Times reported Tuesday that the reason for the relationship ending was “a failed business arrangement between them” and that “[t]he full nature of their eventual falling out is not clear.”

The Times story is an odd duck, though, starting with an accusation by a party planner who previously accused Trump of inappropriate behavior toward his girlfriend.

“I arranged to have some contestants fly in,” George Houraney said in a Monday interview, describing a 1992 event at Mar-a-Lago. “At the very first party, I said, ‘Who’s coming tonight? I have 28 girls coming.’ It was him and Epstein.”

“I said, ‘Look, Donald, I know Jeff really well, I can’t have him going after younger girls,’” Houraney said. “He said, ‘Look I’m putting my name on this. I wouldn’t put my name on it and have a scandal.’”

Corroboration of this story, however, seems to be incredibly thin.

Look, we’ve all heard the quote: “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump said to New York Magazine back in 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

However, what wasn’t known at the time — and until evidence surfaces as to otherwise, we have to assume that Trump didn’t know either — was that Epstein’s taste for younger women extended to underage girls. This is the key difference here.

This story will develop fast and likely kill a few careers. I doubt Trump’s will be one of them, however, particularly given the evidence we have to go on.

I’m more inclined to believe, given the evidence we have, that Epstein got a very rude awakening from Trump when he tried his untoward behavior at Mar-a-Lago.
