Hollywood Actor: 'F*** Every Single Person' Who Supports Trump

Share

What is it with B-list actors who insult half their potential viewers?

On Thursday, yet another Hollywood elitist decided that the best move for his career was to go on a curse-filled rant against President Donald Trump and all his supporters.

The actor was Josh Charles, who apparently has appeared in shows including “The Good Wife,” “Wet Hot American Summer” and “Sports Night.” Don’t feel bad: We had to look him up on IMDB, too.

Charles decided to bring his career to a screeching halt — at least with 50 percent of his potential fan base — because he doesn’t like the president. How original.

Thursday morning, he used his verified Twitter account to declare, “I’m so sick of this motherf—er,” referring to Trump.

Ah, class and intelligence! What a package.

“Just so sick,” Charles continued. “This needs to end. F— him and every single person who continues to support him and his dangerous administration.”

Yes, it wasn’t enough to just rant about the president. The actor decided that it was a brilliant move to swear directly at anyone who voted for or supports the current commander in chief. If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that means you.

But the oh-so-gracious actor wasn’t done. In another tweet, Charles suggested treating the president and Vice President Mike Pence like dogs.

“Before we impeach the motherf**ker can we at least put a muzzle on the motherf**ker’s mouth. Pence too?” he posted.

Although Charles didn’t use the president’s name specifically, it was painfully clear that Trump was the subject of his ire.

“The 47-year-old celebrity isn’t shy about promoting his political beliefs on social media,” Fox News reported. “In the past, he’s retweeted and shared several articles and opinions critical of Donald Trump and his Republican administration.”

Here’s the thing: He has a right to speak his mind. Unlike the left, we aren’t going to try to silence Charles or claim that he should be deplatformed for having (crass) opinions that we don’t like.

But one has to wonder, how does he think this will end? Dropping F-bombs to attack the president isn’t even remotely an intelligent or nuanced position; it makes him looks like a child having a temper tantrum, nothing else.

Will you watch any of Charles' future projects?

At the same time, we have to assume that he’d like to have a career. How smart is it to go on a rant by spewing your one-sided, vile opinions while also trying to get a nationwide audience to sit through your shows?

Acting is his profession. Would it be wise for another professional — a car salesman, say — to loudly shout, “F— you and you and you. … Now come buy a car from me”? Probably not.

It’s also deeply ironic that leftists like Charles fly into fits of rage over how supposedly unpresidential or uncivil Trump can be, complaining about his social media use, while doing even worse with their own Twitter accounts. Unhinged swearing is supposed to fix the country?

Charles probably doesn’t have a single friend who is conservative. He likely has never sat down and had a well-meaning conversation with someone who voted for the president. He’s too busy cursing them out.

In other words, the Hollywood elites have once again been shown to be detached from the rest of the country and living in an increasingly remote bubble. They aren’t interested in true diversity of opinions or political views.

That’s their prerogative, but they shouldn’t be surprised when even more Americans simply stop buying what they’re selling.
