The president’s Twitter account is making news again, this time after some graphic tweets involving “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski.
However, at a press conference, deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended the president and hit his critics hard, saying that “we elected a fighter” and pointing out that the “Morning Joe” hosts had gone after him in a number of ways previously.
The tweets, according to Politico, quickly garnered condemnation from Republicans.

“heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore),” the Thursday morning tweets read. “how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came … to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
Needless to say, the establishment quickly began clutching at their pearls. “Obviously, I don’t see that as an appropriate comment,” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said Thursday. “Look, what we’re trying to do around here is improve the tone, the civility of the debate, and this obviously doesn’t help do that.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina went further, tweeting that “Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.”
