Jane Fonda Gets Brutal Treatment from Fed-Up Megyn Kelly

Share

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly might not be the most beloved figure among conservatives, many of whom still resent her for the feud she waged against then-GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump during the 2016 election cycle, but at least she loves America.

The same could never be said of longtime Hollywood celebrity and prominent liberal activist Jane Fonda, who rose to notoriety during the Vietnam War after she publicly sided with America’s enemies.

Now flashback to September, when Kelly, who now hosts a show on NBC, spoke with Fonda on air about her then-just-released movie, “Our Souls At Night.”

During that interview, Kelly briefly asked Fonda about plastic surgery she’d previously received and spoken about on air plenty of times.

For whatever reason, this offended Fonda so much that she began “taking swipes at Kelly seemingly anytime she (found) a camera pointed in her direction,” as noted by The Daily Wire.

During an interview with Variety magazine just this past weekend, for instance, Fonda asserted that Kelly is “not that good an interviewer,” adding that Kelly’s otherwise benign question “was so inappropriate.”

Rather than allow Fonda to continuing insulting her and impugning her interviewing skills, the Fox-turned-NBC host finally fired back Monday with an earth-shattering truth bomb.

Listen to her whole statement below, or fast-forward to around the two-minute mark to hear the portion of the speech outlined below:

Are you a fan of Megyn Kelly?

Kelly specifically said she wasn’t “in the market for a lesson from Jane Fonda on what is and is not appropriate,” especially from “a woman whose name is synonymous with outrage.”

She cited Fonda’s past as proof: “Look at her treatment of our military during the Vietnam War. Many of our veterans still call her ‘Hanoi Jane’ thanks to her radio broadcast, which attempted to shame American troops; she posed on an anti-aircraft gun used to shoot down our American pilots; she called our POWs hypocrites and liars and referred to their torture as ‘understandable.'”

“By the way, she still says she is not proud of America,” Kelly concluded. “So the moral indignation is a little much.”

You know, had Kelly ever delivered such an equally savage rant at Trump’s sick critics during the 2016 election cycle, maybe conservatives would still like her. But unlike Dr. Phil McGraw, who stood up for the beleaguered presidential nominee, the then-Fox News host sided against Trump.

That said, there’s no denying that she was completely in the right in this particular situation. She did nothing wrong when she questioned Fonda about her plastic surgery. And she likewise did nothing wrong when she later blasted the liberal activist for smearing her.

Fonda is and has always been a horrible human being, and it’s about time someone finally told her that. So thank you for that, Ms. Kelly.
