North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has promised to send half a million of his country’s women into battle and straight to the front line if a war were to erupt.
This news comes on the heels of North Korea’s belligerent military drill last week, which was the largest artillery firing in North Korean history and was meant to show what any country will encounter should it try to attack the tiny Hermit Kingdom.
The latest announcement is meant to show potential foes that once they get past the big guns, they will have to fight half a million women.

Yes, according to a defectors there could be as many as 500,000 women in North Korea’s armed forces — fully 40 percent of the total, thanks to a loss of men to famine and desertion, according to The U.K. Sun.
Kim himself recently organized a competition for female gunnery crews, according to The Sun, which cited the North Korean news agency/propaganda outlet KCNA.
“In the contest, Kim stressed the significance of training women soldiers for the ‘great war for national unification’ and of preparing all gunners to be able to fight anywhere and any time, said the KCNA,” The Sun reported.

It has also been widely reported that Kim was heavily playing with the idea of goading the United States into a war blaming the U.S. for growing tensions. According to the U.K. Express, a statement last week from KCNA said, “It is just the U.S. which has pushed the situation on the peninsula to the brink of nuclear war,” adding that “No one in the world welcomes a gangster blackmailing the owner with a dagger.”
So Kim Jong Un’s response to the U.S., whom he believes is this blackmailing gangster, is to force women to fight his battles for him. He is willing to send them to the front lines to face the United States military head on.
