Kim Kardashian Doubles Down on Trump, Says 'I Want Him To Win'

Share

Despite what you may think of Kim Kardashian West, her level of common sense rises way above leftists in Hollywood, the mainstream media and in Democratic leadership when it comes to the good of our nation.

From day one, Democrats have called for President Donald Trump’s impeachment and have openly hoped for his political demise.

Just this month, liberal talk show host Bill Maher said he would be OK with the downfall of the U.S. economy if it meant avoiding a second term of a Trump presidency.

“I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So please, bring on the recession,” he said. “Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession or you lose your democracy.”

To the left’s sure disappointment, Kardashian West has rejected that line of thinking entirely.

In fact, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the beauty icon and reality TV star said she hopes Trump succeeds for a very simple reason — she wants the country to succeed.

“There’s obviously a lot that we don’t agree with, but I want him (President Trump) to win,” she said. “I want him to succeed, because it’s our country. It’s so crazy that everyone doesn’t want that.”

Are you glad Kim Kardashian West isn't afraid to say this?

Last month, Kardashian West met with Trump to ask for a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson — a woman who was serving a life sentence for a one-time drug offense.

After meeting with her, Trump agreed that Johnson’s punishment wasn’t fitting with the crime and commuted her sentence.

“I definitely saw a lot of compassion from the White House with her, and I really do believe it’s just the beginning,” Kardashian West told The Hollywood Reporter about her experience with the president.

In an interview about her meeting with Trump, CNN’s Van Jones asked Kardashian West if she was worried she’d given the president “legitimacy” by meeting with him.

“You tell me who’s right and who’s wrong — Trump is using you as a political pawn so now you’ve endorsed him in a way, you’ve given him legitimacy,” CNN’s Van Jones asked.

“I think Kanye’s already given him legitimacy in that way,” she said. “At the end of the day he heard me out, we got the job done.”

With that question, Van Jones revealed what must be a worrying thought to the left. When influential voices like Kardashian West don’t toe the liberal line and work with the president, it breaks down the notion that only racist, ignorant, unthinking or uncompassionate people support Trump.

It’s a narrative the media and Democrats are hellbent on perpetuating, and Kardashian West just ripped it to shreds.
