Report: Lawyer for Epstein's Victims Says 'Suicide Attempt' May Have Been Hit Gone Wrong

Share

Disgraced multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein might have been free to live whatever debauched fantasies he pleased months ago, but now he’s fighting for his own life, at least according to a lawyer involved in the case.

Epstein’s recent apparent brush with death first hit the public eye July 23 when guards found him sprawled on the floor with neck injuries.

Officials put the convicted sex offender and alleged child sex trafficker under suicide watch, and the matter seemed closed.

Now, however, Spencer Kuvin, a lawyer who represents three of the megamillionaire’s alleged victims, has come forward to say Epstein’s alleged “suicide attempt” might not have been self-harm at all, but a botched hit on his life.

“I question whether or not it was a true suicide attempt that Mr. Epstein was involved in in jail,” Kuvin told The Sun, “or whether or not there may be some powerful people who just don’t want him to talk.”

“If he goes on trial, everyone he’s been in contact with will ultimately be fair game,” the lawyer said.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that no jail will protect you when there’s powerful people that want to reach you — wherever you are,” he said.

One sign of Epstein’s contacts being a potential puzzle piece in his monstrous crimes came as a former staffer stole and then attempted to auction off a “black book” that was filled with the names of elites, celebrities and politicians.

It’s not unreasonable to think that anyone famous potentially involved in Epstein’s crimes would want to make sure he doesn’t talk.

Epstein may be many things, but subtle isn’t one of them. Former contractors have revealed that what they saw on his private island still haunts them. Underage girls and inappropriate situations were not an uncommon sight.

“If Epstein is in general population or anywhere available to the general population, I believe his life is in jeopardy,” Kuvin said. “They will have to seal him down in the jail. But even there there are still people who can get to him, ultimately.”

Whether Epstein tried to take his own life or powerful forces want him dead, there’s only one thing for sure:

His life is quickly becoming a complete nightmare.

“The rich and powerful think they are beyond the law,” Kuvin said. “They end up doing things that are beyond the law.”
