Leftists Ignore Melania Bravely Entering Combat Zone, Instead Attack Her Outfit

Share

So, as you may have heard, Donald Trump didn’t visit the troops on Christmas Day. It was the first time since 2002 that a sitting president hasn’t done so — clearly another black eye on the Trump presidency.

Make no mistake, folks: This is a president who doesn’t care about the troops. He says he does, but the fact he was unwilling to visit the men and women who fight and die for our country proves that his words are just empty…

Oh, wait, he did visit the troops? Oh. Well, let’s hypothetically say that I’m a member of the media who tweeted about Trump not visiting the troops and he did visit the troops. Theoretically, what would I be able to do to make this whole thing look less horrible? Asking for a friend.

Oh, wait — you say that Melania wore a pair of Timberland boots to Iraq? Score. That’ll do, pig. That’ll do.

But you’re saying she was visiting a combat zone? Most first ladies don’t do that? Shush! She’s wearing shoes that were inappropriate for the occasion, and that’s our story and we’re sticking to it.

“For the visit, which was unscheduled, Melania broke first lady precedent by traveling to an active combat zone. To take selfies with soldiers and speak military members, FLOTUS wore a suede mustard belted blouse with dark green pants,” Kerry Justich wrote for Yahoo Lifestyle.

“It’s Melania’s shoe choice that really stood out though. The Timberland boots are being called an ‘out of touch’ style selection by some on Twitter.”

Right. By the same people who were probably going after Trump for not visiting the troops in the first place.

This is someone who visited a combat zone and instead what we’re harping on is the choice of footwear. Good grief.

Oh well. At least there’s no way anyone could call this racist, right? There’s at least tha–

I’m done, indeed.
