Liberals Honor Star of 'Finally Legal 7' Stormy Daniels with Key to the City

Share

There was a time in America when pornography was something to be ashamed of. That time, it would seem, has passed.

Back in the 1950s and early 60s, it was considered taboo to even imply that married couples slept in the same bed. Now, TV shows and movies don’t hesitate to show unmarried couples engaging in intimate acts.

The point is, a lot has changed in the past several decades, much of it for the worse, and nowhere is that more evident than in West Hollywood, where adult film star Stormy Daniels was set to receive the key to the city on Wednesday.

For those of you don’t know, Daniels (whose real name is Stephanie Clifford) is the porn star who claims she had an affair with President Donald Trump in 2006. According to Daniels, she was paid $130,000 by Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, to keep the affair quiet during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Now, she’s suing Trump and Cohen, claiming that they defamed her by denying the affair, The Hill reported.

Daniels’ story, and really her whole narrative, has been eaten up by the mainstream media, who would like nothing more than to see Trump go down.

Of course, what the media would like you to forget is that Daniels, the star of such standout movies as “Porking with Pride 2,” Finally Legal 7,” “Skin Deep” and “Space Nuts” is not exactly the most credible figure.

However that didn’t seem to matter to those in charge of West Hollywood, a small city of about 36,000 people located between Los Angeles’ Hollywood neighborhood and Beverly Hills.

In addition to handing her the key, officials from the liberal city, which according to USA Today is “considered a prominent LGBT community,” decided to proclaim May 23 as “Stormy Daniels Day.”

According to a news release from the city, Daniels has “proven herself to be a profile in courage by speaking truth to power even under threats to her safety and extreme intimidation.”

Are liberals hypocritical in the way in which they deal with the porn industry?

Well, if West Hollywood wants to honor Daniels in such a manner, then that’s their prerogative.

At the same time, it’s hard not to notice that liberals — especially those in Los Angeles — love to preach about #MeToo and the rampant sexual assault and harassment in the entertainment industry.

But when it comes to an “actress” who worked for years in an industry that demeans women like no other, liberals have no problem glorifying the profession as a whole, as long as it means they’re hurting Trump in the process.

Liberals can preach all they want about equality and women’s rights, but it’s hard to take them at their word when they keep on ignoring the destructive porn industry that treats women as if they are sex objects and nothing more.

And moves like this one that glorify the industry only make things worse.
