Liberals Sick as 2 Fox News Personalities Dominate NYT Best Seller List
They say bad news comes in threes, and that certainly has to be the case if you’re some liberals this week.
First, there was Rush Limbaugh celebrating the 30th anniversary of the launch of his nationally syndicated radio show. Not only has Limbaugh brought conservative dialogue to a national platform by attracting huge audiences, liberals have failed miserably in just about every effort to provide talk programming to counter him. They can’t wait for Limbaugh to retire.
Then came the latest TV ratings for the month of July, and the revelation that Fox News Channel was the most-watched cable network in the country. And to make matters worse, that marks 25 consecutive months FNC was the most-watched cable network in the country.
Other networks dream of having that distinction for even a single month. Fox News has done it for more than two years straight, often attracting more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined.
And if those media milestones weren’t enough to make progressives pull out their hair, the latest bit of conservative media success might just push them over the edge — the latest New York Times list of best-selling books shows not one, but two Fox News Channel personalities holding down the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the list.
Gregg Jarrett’s “The Russia Hoax” was No. 1 on the best-seller list, while Jeanine Pirro’s “Liars, Leakers and Liberals” was No. 2 on the list.
Jarrett and Pirro are popular figures on the network, but they’re certainly not the most high-profile names at Fox. Neither one hosts a prime-time weeknight show, when audiences for the network are at their highest. The fact that even the network’s supporting cast, if you will, can occupy the top two spots on the NYT list has to be infuriating.
As does the interest in the topics of those two books, topics which the left has tried to its best to downplay.

Promotional blurbs for Jarrett’s book say it reveals how people within “the FBI and Barack Obama’s Justice Department worked improperly to help elect Hillary Clinton and defeat Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. When this suspected effort failed, those same people appear to have pursued a contrived investigation of President Trump in an attempt to undo the election results and remove him as president.”
Pirro’s book exposes those in government and the media who are trying to undermine Donald Trump’s presidency.
“Driven by unbridled ambition, blinded by greed, and bound by a common goal-to unseat the 45th President of the United States — this cabal is determined to maintain its hold on a power to which its members have no legitimate claim,” a preview of the book says. “Pirro proves beyond a reasonable doubt that a plot against the People of the United States exists and that the conspirators have the means and motive to destroy our democratic republic.”

If you’re keeping track, that’s conservative content dominating on radio, TV and print.
And that obviously drives many on the left crazy.
You would think the way Democrats try to portray those who support conservative principles as being the minority of Americans, that “minority” representation would produce nothing better than middle-of-the-pack numbers for TV and radio ratings.
But the numbers say otherwise; and it’s not just a temporary blip because of a Republican being in the White House.
Conservatives are not a “fringe” part of society. They are drawn to those in the media who speak to them because so few in the media do. Who are the late-night comedians who try to appeal to the right? Who are the network news anchors who throw a conservative angle on a story?
The bottom line: Providing good content to conservatives is good for the bottom line. It may not get you invited to a lot of Hollywood parties or a guest shot with Colbert or Kimmel, but it can win you millions of loyal followers.
