When a Colorado sheriff’s deputy made a courtesy stop earlier this month to assist what appeared to be a stranded motorist, the complete moron behind the wheel of the stranded SUV stepped out of the vehicle armed with a semi-automatic rifle and tried to attack the sheriff.
According to The Denver Post, as Deputy Brad Proux approached the SUV, the bone-headed, 25-year-old driver later identified as Deyon Marcus Rivas-Maestas jumped out of it with a rifle.
Body camera footage from the scene showed Rivas-Maestas then try to attack the deputy by swinging the reportedly unloaded rifle toward him like a sword.

Proux immediately responded by firing two shots and tumbling backwards toward the ground.
Rivas-Maestas made it a few feet away from the deputy before he himself also dropped to the ground after reportedly being injured in one arm.
What followed was a four-minute standoff during which Deputy Proux repeatedly told the suspect to stop moving and drop down entirely to the ground.
