Prominent Conservative Magazine Uses ENTIRE Issue To Try To Stop Donald Trump

From the moment that billionaire businessman Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president in the summer of 2015, he has been dismissed by some as not being a true conservative worthy of the Republican nomination.

None have been more set in their opposition to Trump than the editors of premier conservative magazine National Review, and they just upped the ante of their stance against the real estate mogul to another level.

The magazine reached out to nearly two dozen prominent conservative voices opposed to Trump and combined essays from those individuals into one issue aimed solely at taking down the front-running candidate, aptly entitled “Against Trump,” according to The New York Times.

“Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot on behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as The Donald himself,” stated an editorial released Thursday night by National Review.

The timing of the anti-Trump magazine issue has drawn some attention, coming a mere 10 days before the Iowa caucuses, which has turned into a fierce battle between Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

The special issue devoted to taking down Trump includes essays from such conservative voices as Bill Kristol, Erick Erickson, Glenn Beck, Rich Lowry, Dana Loesch and Katie Pavlich, among many others.

For his part, Trump seemed unconcerned by the release of the special issue magazine, taking to Twitter as he tends to do to strike back at his critics, calling the magazine a “failing publication” that was losing its influence.

There is no doubt that many people are opposed to the idea of a Trump presidency, and the editors of National Review just made sure that they will be standing at the forefront of that opposition.
