People who work at gas stations have to deal with people from all walks of life. That means they are more likely than most to encounter some very belligerent (or possibly downright crazy) people.
The video began by showing the gas station worker standing around, minding his own business, when a man came up and started yelling and shoving him.
Another gas station worker walked up, but did nothing other than stand to the side and observe what was going on.
That’s when a police officer walked up behind the man yelling at the gas station attendant.
With one sweep of his leg, the police officer knocked the man to the ground, and he wisely stayed there with the officer towering over him.
It remained unclear what was being said in the video, but we can see the officer talking with the man on the ground for several seconds. Eventually another officer approached, and the two then began searching the man for weapons.
You can watch the entire encounter here:
It is very clear from the video that the man never saw the police officer coming and wasn’t quite as bold when he was lying on the ground staring up at the officer.
Some might say what this officer did was extreme, but from all accounts the man who was yelling wasn’t injured and the officer never had to use his firearm.
The gas station attendant was most likely very glad this officer was around to prevent things from escalating further. You never know how far people will take things when they start yelling and shoving.
