Man Kicks Down Door to House, Armed Homeowner Is Waiting To Fight Back

Share

An armed 18-year-old kicked down a homeowner’s door in Riverdale, Maryland, before being fatally shot by the armed homeowner.

The armed teenager, Victory Mbeng, broke into the house at around 5:30 p.m. on April 10, according to WTOP-FM.

Mbeng could have done serious harm and investigators believe the home was intentionally targeted, according to WRC-TV.

Thankfully, the homeowner was also armed and successfully defended himself.

Seconds after the criminal teen kicked down the door, he was shot by the homeowner and ran away.

Mbeng was admitted to the Doctors Hospital in Lanham for a gunshot wound but died shortly after arriving.

Prince George’s County police said the homeowner called 911 after the incident, telling police that he shot a man who broke into his home.

The homeowner wasn’t injured and he currently isn’t facing any charges for defending himself.

“Detectives interviewed the homeowner and he is not facing any charges at this time,” WRC-TV reported.

Did the homeowner handle the situation correctly?

Additionally, a home surveillance system reportedly caught the incident on camera, “clearly” showing the man defending himself against an armed teen.

But Mbeng’s friends, who reportedly drove him to the hospital, originally told the teenager’s aunt that he was the victim of a drive-by shooting, not that he was shot while trying to break into another person’s home.

It’s tragic for the intruder’s family, but it would have been tragic for the homeowner and his family if he wasn’t able to defend himself against the armed intruder.

This is why the Second Amendment is so important: self defense. It’s impossible to know if and when you will need to defend yourself, but there are countless incidents just like this.

And for every story where victims were able to successfully defend themselves, there are countless others where victims were unarmed and completely defenseless.

If liberals got what they wanted, everybody would be sitting ducks at the mercy of criminals who have no respect for the left’s strict gun laws anyway.

It’s important that Americans have the right to bear arms and defend their families against threats as this Maryland homeowner did.
