Mark Levin Can't Contain Himself After 'Pathological Liars' Pelosi and Schumer Respond to Trump
Mark Levin has a reputation of being a plain-spoken conservative who cuts to the core of issues, and that’s exactly what he just did on the border security showdown.
The news of the week, of course, is that the partial government shutdown continues to drag on. On Tuesday, President Donald Trump addressed the nation to lay out the case for securing the border, a request that Democrats are resisting.
A liberal rebuttal from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer followed, but it pushed Levin over the edge. Not long after the two Democrats spoke, the radio and television host called in to Fox News and blasted the left for years of feet-dragging on the border issue.
“First of all, the president gave an outstanding speech. It was concise. It was compassionate and truly compassionate,” Levin began during his phone interview on fellow commentator Sean Hannity’s program.
“He provided the context both in terms of what’s going on in the border, the expense, which is de minimis, and who’s really responsible,” he continued.
But Levin was just getting wound up. In his trademark fashion, he went on a well-spoken rant about exactly why many Americans are fed up with liberals on the border issue.
“Let’s keep a few things in mind when you watch Schumer and Pelosi. They’re pathological liars,” Levin declared. “They’ve been in Congress over half a century. What the hell have they done about the border? Nothing.”
The conservative host backed this up by pointing out that Democrats have previously admitted that the problem exists, yet done precious little to fix it.
“They’re part of the scam artists. They get amnesty, legalization, citizenship, and never secure the border,” he declared.
Indeed, there are dozens of videos and soundbites which clearly show Democrats — including Schumer, Presidents Clinton and Obama, and many other leftists — saying almost the exact same things as President Trump about border security and the need to enforce immigration laws.
At least until Trump won the White House. Suddenly the tune changed.
“These two and the rest of them are never forced to explain their flip-flop,” Levin insisted, basically calling out the media for failing to hold Democrats to their past words. “Where they were for border security, they voted to authorize walls, they voted to fund some of the walls and now all of the sudden it’s ‘immoral.'”
Levin is right on target. The two-facedness from the left is what people are tired of, yet Democrats continue to talk out of both sides of their mouths and act as if the American people are too stupid to notice the hypocrisy.
Donald Trump ran on the issue of border enforcement and an immigration overhaul. He was elected largely on that issue. Trump hasn’t changed — it’s the left which is now playing politics with the nation’s security and rule of law.
