Mueller Running Out of Time, Opens Investigation Into Ivanka

Share

The investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller is starting to look more and more like a witch hunt.

What was supposed to be a focused inquiry about alleged — and unproven — “collusion” between Donald Trump and Russia has branched out, and now appears more like a vendetta being carried out against anyone connected to the president in any way.

A report from the Los Angeles Times indicates that Mueller is now going after the president’s daughter… despite the fact that she was not present at a controversial half-hour meeting between a Russian lawyer, Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner back in 2016.

“Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III has recalled for questioning at least one participant in a controversial meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in June 2016,” reported the Times.

That isn’t particularly surprising. After all, that discussion has been at the center of the collusion probe all along, despite the Trump team’s insistence that nothing improper took place.

What is surprising is that Ivanka Trump has now been dragged into the controversy.

“Investigators also are exploring the involvement of the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, who did not attend the half-hour sit-down on June 9, 2016, but briefly spoke with two of the participants, a Russian lawyer and a Russian-born Washington lobbyist,” reported the LA Times.

Ivanka’s apparent “crime?” She was polite to the Russian guests in an elevator at Trump Tower.

“It occurred at the Trump Tower elevator as the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, and the lobbyist, Rinat Akhmetshin, were leaving the building and consisted of pleasantries, a person familiar with the episode said,” according to the Times. Emphasis added.

What’s next? Will Robert Mueller subpoena a Russian bike messenger that Ivanka once said “hello” to when he delivered a package at Trump Tower?

It has already been revealed that key members of the Russian “collusion” inquiry had incredibly strong pro-Clinton and anti-Trump biases… and those same slanted investigators hinted at an “insurance policy” to use against Trump if he managed to win the election.

“I want to believe […] that there’s no way (Trump) gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” wrote FBI agent Peter Strzok in an anti-Trump text to his mistress and FBI lawyer Lisa Page back in August of 2016.

Strzok, who was a major part of both the Clinton and Trump investigation teams, also referenced the desire to “protect the country from that menace,” meaning Donald Trump.

Could the preposterous probing into unproven “collusion” be part of an insider plan to trip up Trump, no matter the cost? It’s hard to say, but interrogating Ivanka Trump because she was pleasant to visitors in an elevator stretches the already-thin credibility of Mueller’s inquest.

It certainly looks a lot like a wild goose chase based on bias… and the American people are getting tired of it.
